CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

The gentleman who lived in this house. A great grandfather to a sweet little girl.. We truly enjoyed our visits with him..

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

What the house looked like, BEFORE!!

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Another view of what
the house looked like
when we arrived on-site.

Sawing the siding board which is under the upper trim board, to be able to remove the siding board and not damage the trim. A DIRTY JOB..

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

RIPPING the siding off the house. Tough work..

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Removing the siding, in preparation for removing the old, ugly insulation boarding which is now outlawed due to its flammability. Tough stuff to deal with..

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Continuing to remove the siding and some insulation, while work on the roof continues.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

The siding has been removed in preparation for framing for the installation of the A/C in the wall, AND for cutting the hole in the wall, to allow the A/C to sit in the wall and not in the window.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

The siding is off this side of house. The A/C has been removed from
window and the hole is cut for
the installation of A/C in Wall.

Note, also that the OSB
board is installed in part of the wall.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Air Conditioner was removed from the window and a hole cut in the wall for the installation of the A/C in the wall.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Mudding is required after we sheetrocked the new framing around the windows.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Putting the finishing touches on the insides of the window installations. We replaces 5 windows in this house.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

We had to dig down below the foundation and jack it up about 4 inches to get the corner of the house where it is supposed to be.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Work continues on the installation of the siding.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

As you can see, this siding
is coming along in great shape.

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

Finishing installing the siding around the high-
voltage wiring coming into the house. A tricky
job, for sure... the guys did a great job..

CROW CREEK INDIAN RESERVATION VIM TEAM 2010

The siding is about complete AND the roofers are about to complete the new roof. These roofers are from SE Oklahoma.. a great group to work with....

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

The sign at the entrance to the United Methodist Boys Ranch, Gore, OK.. A part of the "CIRCLE OF CARE".

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

A beautiful flower bed displaying right in the middle of the campus. Our VIM ladies did a LOT of work on this and look, it really paid off, right??

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

This is a statue, at the entrance to the Boys Ranch, which is of the man who started this camp and donated the land. It consists of 400+ acres of beautiful wooded land right on Lake
Tenkiller in eastern Oklahoma.

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

This is the shop
building for the campus
where we do a lot of
our preping of materials
for the on-site job.. It
also houses a lot of
materials we use on the
projects..
This greenhouse got a lot of our attention, preparing it for the plastic cover that will be installed
this fall, when the weather starts to get cold. It will be very valuable for different types of therapy for the boys, this winter..
This is the trailer where we did a lot of work laying tile and re-plumbing the whole trailer. See next pic....

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

Another task was to lay ceramic tile in 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway of the trailer which will be used for housing of VIMers and staff. A huge amount of plumbing had to be done, as well. A HOT/ DIRTY JOB...

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

Another one of our tasks
was to fix these doors
on this shed. They were in
pretty bad shape. It took
a lot of work to get them
so that they would open
and close easily..

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

Caring for the animals is one of the very important
Therapies that the boys are exposed to, while at the Ranch.
It appears to be VERY effective.

GORE, OKLA. UMBR 2010

Some more of the animals that the Boys care for as part of their 'Animal Therapy'. There are many more kinds of animals here on the Ranch.
