Short stay projects, drive to and from until the RV park is ready for use. Non-RVers facilities not available at this time. More info on this, soon. I will be putting information on my blog as well as sending frequent emails updating the plan.

The type of work to start with will be mudding/sanding / painting the patches of small holes in sheetrock, left when a contractor blew insulation in the outside walls of many of the cottages. The painting will consist of painting the entire walls due to the inability to match the paint color that is there.

THIS IS A NEW OPPORTUNITY AND A GREAT ONE, CLOSE TO HOME FOR MANY OF US and the need is certainly there.

Contemplating what to do next... the progress on the window trim and the railing around the stairs is coming along just wonderfully. The baseboard had to have the same treatment on it. A LOT OF WORK, but worth it.

RVIM TEAMS TO ASBURY PARK, NEWTON, KS

Asbury Park was once called "Friendly Acres", a United Methodist Retirement Center located in Newton, KS, 200 SW 14th St. I visited there recently, and have decided that we should take teams there, starting in January 2011
TWO TEAMS HAVE NOW BEEN SCHEDULED. The dates are, Jan. 17-21, 2011 AND Jan. 31 - Feb. 4, 2011.
My plan is to schedule several times to go there, due to the nature of the work which we can do in the winter weather. I also plan that we'll probably drive back and forth since it's so close and it will be too cold for RV's, plus I don't know of facilities for non-RVers, at this point in time.

I'M LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO STEP UP TO LEAD THESE TEAMS, so if the Lord speaks to you about this, consider answering the call, ok???

One of the 6 cabins we worked on and removed the siding up 24 inches from the decking. It was badly rotted due to wicking of the moisture from the decks.
